Football for Learning Sports Sessions Continue at GRFS

October 27, 20260

Grand River Friendship Society (GRFS) continues its Football for Learning sports activities throughout the fall 2026 season, bringing young participants together through soccer, teamwork, and shared learning experiences.

As the program progresses, each training session provides another opportunity for children to stay active, develop their soccer skills, make new friends, and experience the importance of teamwork in a supportive environment.

Beyond physical activity, Football for Learning focuses on encouraging confidence, cooperation, discipline, and positive social connections. Through regular practice and interaction with their peers, young players are encouraged to develop valuable skills that extend beyond the soccer field.

The sports sessions are part of GRFS’s broader Football for Learning initiative, which brings together educational support and recreational opportunities to promote the academic, physical, and social development of children and youth.

Halloween Weekend Schedule Update

Please note that Football for Learning sports sessions will not take place during Halloween weekend (October 30–November 1, 2026). Regular sports activities will resume the following week .

GRFS is pleased to see young participants continuing their journey and appreciates the dedication of coaches, families, and everyone contributing to the program’s ongoing activities.

At GRFS, we believe that sports can be a powerful way to bring young people together, encourage healthy lifestyles, and create opportunities for learning and personal growth.

Learning Together. Playing Together. Growing Together.

The Football for Learning program is proudly supported by the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
