Meaningful Connections Over Turkish Coffee
On Thursday, October 22, 2026, Grand River Friendship Society (GRFS) had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from Focus for Ethnic Women for Turkish coffee and meaningful conversations.
The visit provided a warm and welcoming opportunity to share experiences, explore common goals in supporting women and youth, and discuss possibilities for future collaboration.
Throughout the gathering, both organizations exchanged perspectives on their community-focused work and explored how shared interests and experiences could create opportunities to support individuals and families across Waterloo Region.
At GRFS, we believe that strong communities begin with meaningful connections, and sometimes, all it takes is a cup of coffee. Bringing people and organizations together through open dialogue and shared experiences is an important part of building relationships and encouraging community engagement.
GRFS extends its sincere appreciation to Focus for Ethnic Women for their lovely visit and thoughtful conversations.
We look forward to staying connected and exploring what we can build together!
