Grand River Friendship Society (GRFS) joins Canadians across the country in mourning the tragic loss of four Canadian Armed Forces members following a devastating fire at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Wainwright, Alberta, on October 17, 2026.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends, and fellow service members of those who lost their lives. Our thoughts are also with the injured, and we sincerely wish them strength, healing, and a full recovery.
We express our heartfelt appreciation to the firefighters, emergency responders, healthcare professionals, and community members who have worked tirelessly to assist those affected by this tragedy.
