Yankı Night and the Resurgence of Youth

Yankı Night and the Resurgence of Youth

The special evening of the Yankı 1st Anniversary Program, organized with the efforts of our respected young friends and dear elder siblings, welcomed us with an unforgettable event. On this special night, the gathering of viewers from all age groups to support the youth not only made the Yankı team proud but also created very special moments together.

Our hosts were our esteemed consultant brother Hasan Ahmet Gökçe, who generously provided us with both financial and spiritual support, and our esteemed writer İnci. They mesmerized us and presented a fluent presentation while hosting the program.

The program began with the opening speech of our broadcast director brother Fethullah Güneş, followed by appreciation and thank-you videos from various personalities for the Yankı team. Messages from esteemed figures such as Enes Kanter Freedom, Reha Yeprem, Prof. Suat Yıldırım, and Kemal Gülen served as a source of hope and motivation for the Yankı team. The excitement of the program heightened even more with these encouraging videos.

At the Yankı Night; starting with the Oratorio prepared and scripted by our sister Sümeyra Nurcan… to the “Who Wants an Yankı Magazine” competition. The Oratorio took us through a life story inspired by real-life; the emotional and hopeful stance of a father in prison, his wife, and daughters, one of whom became a lawyer and a YANKI magazine writer in Canada, despite everything, deeply affected us. The audience couldn’t hold back tears while watching this oratorio. Our writers Büşra Subaşı, Esra Anduse, and Faruk Genç conveyed their emotions so sincerely and impressively that as viewers, we became a part of this story. This family, which did not lose hope in the face of difficulties and experienced situations similar to many of us, inspired us to cope with life’s challenges.

During the night, as the winners of the letter, painting, and photography contests were awarded, our writer friends Azra Ergün, Esra Anduse, and Elif Sude Ay sang beautiful songs. “Who Wants a Yankı Magazine” with the delightful host Ahsen provided unforgettable moments for the audience. At the end of the program, our consultant and the valuable language editor of Yankı Magazine, Orhan Keskin, was invited to the stage to share his thoughts. He emphasized the valuable message to young people by Mr. Fethullah Gülen: “Western youth should not forget Turkish and, on the contrary, improve their Turkish.” He also expressed Yankı’s mission with the words, “Another goal of the magazine is to nurture the writers of the future.”

In his speech, Orhan Keskin thanked our consultants Hasan Ahmet Gökçe, Azat Boztaş, Sümeyra Nurcan, Meral Budak, our broadcast director Fethullah Güneş, our visual director Emrehan Kılıç, and all Yankı writers, especially. One of the most beautiful moments of the night was when the Yankı writers were invited to the stage, thanked, and presented with meaningful gifts.

At the end of the program, we sincerely thanked our dear elders Orhan Keskin, Fethullah Güneş, Sümeyra Nurcan, Meral Budak, and Emrehan Kılıç for their valuable efforts. They have always been there to lend a hand when we fell and lifted us up from the ground. Every artist always wants to showcase their art, and if we, as young people, can present our written articles to you, it is entirely thanks to their contributions.
