On Saturday, October 17, 2026, students at a Grand River Friendship Society (GRFS) student residence came together for a fun and creative Halloween-themed pumpkin-carving competition.
The challenge was simple: Who could create the most impressive pumpkin design? With pumpkins, carving tools, and plenty of imagination, participants transformed ordinary pumpkins into unique creations featuring spooky faces, creative patterns, and expressive designs.
The activity encouraged students to explore their creativity while enjoying a friendly competition in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Once the carving was complete, the pumpkins were illuminated, revealing the different designs and the effort each participant had put into their creation.
Beyond the competition, the gathering offered an opportunity for students to spend quality time together, share ideas, enjoy a seasonal tradition, and strengthen their friendships.
At GRFS, we recognize that personal growth and meaningful connections extend beyond classrooms and structured programs. Through mentorship, recreational activities, and shared experiences, we aim to create welcoming environments where young people can develop confidence, express themselves, and build lasting relationships.
A little creativity, friendly competition, and shared laughter made for a memorable evening!
