Grade 11 Students Enjoy a Memorable 5-Day Quebec Trip

September 16, 20260

Eight Grade 11 students and four mentors recently came together for a memorable 5-day, 4-night trip to Quebec, combining travel, friendship, recreation, and meaningful time together before the start of the new school term.

The group stayed at a cottage located between Montreal and Quebec City, providing a comfortable setting where students and mentors could relax, connect, and enjoy a variety of activities throughout the trip.

Exploring Quebec City

One of the highlights of the trip was a full day in Quebec City, where students had the opportunity to explore the city and visit some of its well-known landmarks.

The experience gave students a chance to discover a different part of Canada, spend time together outside their regular routines, and create shared memories through travel and exploration.

Time to Connect and Recharge

Back at the cottage, students enjoyed swimming, pool, games, BBQs, and plenty of time to relax and socialize.

These informal moments were an important part of the experience. They gave students opportunities to strengthen friendships, connect with mentors, enjoy positive group activities, and simply spend quality time together.

For Grade 11 students preparing for another busy school year, the trip also provided a valuable opportunity to recharge before returning to their academic responsibilities.

A Stop in Montreal

On the journey back to Waterloo, the group also stopped in Montreal, adding another city experience to the five-day trip before returning home.

From Quebec City to the cottage activities and the Montreal stop, the trip offered a balanced experience of exploration, recreation, friendship, and mentorship.

Building Relationships Beyond the Classroom

GRFS mentorship experiences extend beyond academic and career guidance. Trips like this create additional opportunities for young people and mentors to build trust, strengthen relationships, and share meaningful experiences in a supportive environment.

The Quebec trip gave students time to relax, develop stronger friendships, create lasting memories, and return home refreshed for the new school term.

A sincere thank you to all of the mentors and everyone who contributed to making this experience possible for our Grade 11 students.
