GRFS Receives Support from the Actuarial Foundation of Canada for Youth Math Success
Grand River Friendship Society is pleased to announce support from the Actuarial Foundation of Canada (AFC) for our Youth Math Success project.
The Youth Math Success project is designed to help youth from diverse cultural backgrounds, newcomer families, and low-income households strengthen their mathematical skills, financial literacy, and confidence with numbers. Through specialized workshops, small-group learning, mentorship, and practical educational resources, participants will develop skills in personal budgeting, saving, money management, problem solving, and mathematics for everyday life.
The project will also introduce youth to future educational and career pathways in actuarial science, mathematics, finance, data analysis, STEM, and related fields.
The Actuarial Foundation of Canada works to support youth financial literacy, education, and careers in actuarial and mathematical sciences, while promoting equal opportunity for quality education across Canada.
GRFS is grateful to AFC’s Board, Youth Education Committee, donors, and supporters for their confidence in our organization and their commitment to helping young Canadians build stronger academic and financial futures.
This partnership will help GRFS continue creating accessible learning opportunities that empower youth to develop the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need for future success.
Thank you, Actuarial Foundation of Canada, for supporting our youth and investing in their future.
