GRFS Summer School 2026 brought children together for six weeks of learning, creativity, recreation and friendship through a balanced summer enrichment experience.
Running from June 29 to August 6, 2026, the program welcomed children from Preschool to Grade 7 and combined structured learning with arts, sports, technology, values education, problem-solving activities and special summer experiences.
Throughout the program, children were encouraged to learn, explore, create, stay active and build positive relationships with one another in a welcoming and supportive environment.
A Balanced Summer Learning Experience
Summer School offered a variety of activities designed to support children academically, socially, creatively and physically.
Program areas included:
- Values education
- Art and creative activities
- Mind games and problem-solving
- Sports and physical activities
- Technology, coding and STEM learning
- Language development
- Teamwork and social activities
- Special weekly experiences
This combination helped create a learning environment where children could strengthen important skills while still enjoying the energy and flexibility of summer.
Learning Through Values and Creativity
Values education was integrated into different parts of the program through conversations, stories, group activities and drama.
Children explored themes such as kindness, respect, empathy, responsibility, cooperation, sharing and helping others. Drama activities gave students opportunities to experience these ideas through real-life situations, teamwork and creative expression.
Art activities were another important part of the summer. Children created bracelets and necklaces, participated in a Noah’s Ark-themed creative activity and completed a variety of hands-on projects.
These activities encouraged imagination, concentration, fine-motor skills and self-expression while giving students opportunities to create and learn together.
Technology, STEM and Problem-Solving
Technology and STEM activities added an important learning dimension to the summer program.
Through age-appropriate coding, technology, problem-solving and exploratory activities, students were encouraged to think creatively, experiment with new ideas and develop greater confidence in working with technology.
Mind games also supported logical thinking, concentration, strategy and decision-making.
Together, these activities helped make learning interactive and engaging while introducing children to skills that are increasingly relevant in their education and everyday lives.
Sports, Movement and Teamwork
Physical activity remained an important part of each week.
Sports sessions, outdoor activities and group games gave children opportunities to stay active while developing teamwork, communication and confidence.
Garden games also created a relaxed setting where students could play together, form friendships and enjoy time outdoors.
These experiences supported the idea that learning and personal development can take place both inside and outside the classroom.
Special Days and Shared Experiences
A variety of special activities made each week of Summer School different.
Cinema Day gave children a chance to enjoy a shared experience together, while a special Pizza Day provided another fun opportunity to gather around a meal and spend time with friends.
A cultural picnic brought families, food, outdoor activities and community together for a memorable summer experience.
These special days helped create a stronger sense of connection among students and added variety to the regular learning schedule.
Children’s Festival and Garden Games
The Children’s Festival was one of the highlights of GRFS Summer School 2026.
Children participated in outdoor games, recreational activities and group challenges in a lively festival atmosphere.
The festival gave students another opportunity to celebrate the summer, spend time with friends and enjoy activities centred around play, cooperation and community.
Experiences Beyond the Classroom
Learning also continued through activities outside the regular classroom environment.
Trips to Funvilla and Activate gave students opportunities to experience interactive games, physical challenges and recreational activities in new settings.
These outings encouraged movement, teamwork, confidence and social interaction while adding another dimension to the Summer School experience.
They also gave children the chance to create shared memories with classmates and mentors.
Celebrating the Summer Together
The program concluded with a Karne Şenliği, bringing students together to celebrate the completion of Summer School.
It was an opportunity to recognize participation, learning and the many experiences students shared over the six weeks.
By the end of the program, the summer had included classroom learning, technology, creative projects, sports, games, outings, shared meals, performances and many informal moments of friendship.
More Than a Classroom Experience
GRFS Summer School 2026 was designed to offer children more than a traditional academic summer program.
Learning, creativity, technology, physical activity, positive values and social connection were brought together within one experience.
The variety of activities allowed children with different interests and strengths to participate in meaningful ways — whether through solving a problem, creating an art project, playing a sport, trying a new technology, performing in a drama activity or simply spending time with friends.
These experiences helped create a summer environment centred on curiosity, confidence, participation and belonging.
