On April 30th, we came together to celebrate something truly meaningful—connection, understanding, and friendship across cultures. The Grand River Friendship Society welcomed students from Rockway Mennonite Collegiate for a special day of learning, laughter, and shared experience.
Students from both communities enjoyed fun games, heartfelt conversations, and moments of reflection. Together, they explored the value of cultural exchange and created new friendships. The event ended with a warm and delicious “Friendship Meal” featuring traditional dishes like döner, baklava, and rice—a true celebration of hospitality and togetherness.
Every smile shared, every story told, and every plate passed was a reminder that love isn’t just a feeling—it’s something we do. This gathering showed how compassion, openness, and respect build lasting bridges between people.
