Yesterday, we hosted our Saturday Meals event at 57 Stirling Ave N, and it was a truly remarkable evening! With the support of the Grand River Friendship Society, Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, and the Food Bank of Waterloo Region, we welcomed 200 participants for a warm meal and even warmer company.
The atmosphere was filled with connection and kindness as volunteers worked tirelessly to serve hot, nourishing meals to everyone who attended. Beyond the food, the event brought people together, fostering a sense of belonging and support that our community truly needs.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible partnership between GRFS, Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, and the Food Bank of Waterloo Region, as well as the generosity of volunteers and supporters. Together, we embodied the motto “Love is a verb”—showing that love is about action, service, and care for one another.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event a success. We look forward to seeing you again next month! ❤
