On May 12th, 2024, in celebration of Mother’s Day, the GRFS Youth Club embarked on a special mission to bring smiles to the residents of Lanark Village Seniors’ Living. Armed with bouquets of vibrant flowers, the volunteers set out to spread love and warmth to the seniors residing there.
The visit was a touching display of intergenerational kindness and community spirit.
As they distributed the flowers, the volunteers engaged in heartfelt conversations and shared laughter with the residents, creating unforgettable moments that brought a ray of sunshine into everyone’s day. The seniors were deeply moved by the gesture, feeling the warmth and care shown by the young visitors.
“We wanted to show our appreciation for the mothers and mother figures in our community,” said one of the volunteers. “It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with the seniors and make them feel special on this meaningful day.”
