Recently, the Grand River Friendship Society and YANKI team were honoured to attend a special invitation from Cambridge Public Library for a guided tour of the Idea Exchange Library.

This visit provided a wonderful opportunity for our teams to come together, strengthen community connections, and learn more about the valuable resources, programs, and creative spaces available through the library.

Participants explored innovative learning environments, discovered opportunities for youth engagement, creativity, and community learning, and took part in meaningful conversations about how community organizations and public institutions can work together to support children, youth, and families.

We are sincerely grateful to the Idea Exchange team for their warm hospitality and for sharing their knowledge, vision, and commitment to community learning with us. Strong partnerships and collaboration play an important role in creating more opportunities for learning, engagement, creativity, and growth.

GRFS and YANKI look forward to future opportunities to collaborate and continue building meaningful connections that benefit youth, families, and the wider community.

Thank you to Cambridge Public Library and Idea Exchange for hosting us and making this visit such a valuable and inspiring experience.

Last Saturday’s Iftar program was a truly special gathering where we experienced the unifying and welcoming spirit of Ramadan together.

Our little ones fully enjoyed the evening — grabbing their cotton candy, dipping fruits into the chocolate fountain, getting their faces painted in bright colors, and running around with their creative balloons. The joy and laughter filled the room.

The Kahoot! trivia competition added extra excitement to the night. It was both educational and fun, as children and youth engaged in friendly competition and teamwork. The energy in the hall reflected the beautiful balance of learning and celebration.

We also watched a short video prepared by one of our mentors highlighting our foundation’s activities. It was a meaningful moment to reflect on past efforts and look ahead with renewed motivation for the future.

We sincerely thank all volunteers, youth leaders, organizers, mentors, and our technical team who contributed to making this evening possible. Your dedication and teamwork created a warm and memorable atmosphere for everyone.

Looking forward to gathering again with the same spirit of unity and community.
