What a joyful day it was as we gathered at Saint Agatha Community Center with over 550 community members to celebrate Eid together!

We began our morning with a heartfelt Eid prayer, then continued the celebration with a vibrant community breakfast filled with warmth, connection, and the sound of laughter echoing through the hall. From young children to elders, families and friends came together in the spirit of unity and gratitude.

This day wasn’t just about celebration — it was a living reminder of our shared values. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“Indeed, every nation has its festival, and this is our festival.”

And truly, it felt like a festival of hearts.

Because at the end of the day, love isn’t just a word — love is a verb.
It’s shown in how we show up, share, and care for one another.

With love and peace,

“Indeed, every nation has its festival, and this is our festival.” – Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

Eid is more than a celebration. It’s a sacred time to reflect on our journey through Ramadan, to rejoice in the blessings of faith, and to come together in gratitude. It’s a time to remember the importance of community, generosity, and compassion — values that bind us no matter where we come from.

As we gather with our families and friends, share meals, and give thanks, let us also extend our hearts to those in need. Let’s reach out, lift up, and spread kindness in every corner of our community.

Because love isn’t just something we say.
Love is a verb.
It lives in the small acts of service, in forgiveness, in understanding, and in our shared humanity.

May this Eid bring peace to your heart, joy to your home, and unity to the world around us.

With love,

Last night’s Iftar dinner was a heartfelt celebration of community, faith, and connection. From soulful music that touched our hearts to the shared meals that warmed our spirits, every moment was a reminder of the beauty in togetherness.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the New Dundee Community Centre! Your smiles, conversations, and presence filled the room with love and light. A special thanks to our talented musicians who brought a spiritual calm with their melodies, and to our volunteers who made this event so seamless.

As we continue the journey through Ramadan, let’s hold onto the joy we’ve experienced together and keep spreading kindness in our communities.

Because Love is a verb—and last night, we lived it.

—

Stay tuned for our upcoming Iftar dates!

Our amazing Path of Light high school girls came together to organize a truly special Iftar gathering! With over 30 attendees, the night was filled with the essence of Ramadan—faith, togetherness, and meaningful moments.

The event featured an engaging “What is Ramadan?” presentation, a traditional henna ceremony, and personalized calligraphy gifts, making it a night to remember. What made it even more special? Every detail—from the delicious homemade food to the beautifully arranged setup—was lovingly prepared by the students themselves!

Many attendees invited their school friends, adding even more warmth and joy to the evening. And as a thoughtful touch, everyone left with a small gift to mark the occasion.

Because love is a verb, and this night was a perfect reflection of that in action. ?
