Yesterday, representatives from the Grand River Friendship Society (GRFS) paid a friendly visit to Aislinn Clancy at her Kitchener Campaign office.

GRFS Finance Committee Member Orhan Keskin, Executive Director Cumali Şahin, and Public Relations Director Berat Berberoğlu met with Ms. Clancy as a follow-up to a previous gathering. During the visit, they had a warm conversation and wished her success in her ongoing campaign.

Today, the Grand River Friendship Society’s Executive Director Cumali Sahin and Director of Public Relations Berat Berberoglu, along with our board members, had the pleasure of visiting MP Mike Morrice at his office in downtown Kitchener. What a powerful and inspiring meeting it was!

We dove into exciting conversations about our Taekwondo school, upcoming community programs, and collaborations with other nonprofit organizations. Mike Morrice’s valuable advice gave us fresh perspectives and practical guidance on expanding our impact and creating more meaningful connections across the community.

His support and encouragement reminded us that with collaboration, dedication, and love, we can create lasting change. This meeting truly left us motivated and energized to continue working toward a stronger and more united community.

A Warm Welcome to Kitchener Centre MP Mike Morrice

We had the pleasure of hosting Kitchener Centre Green Party MP Mike Morrice today at the Grand River Friendship Society campus in Baden! It was a wonderful and productive meeting where our board members warmly welcomed him, and we had the opportunity to discuss exciting future projects.

Mike Morrice shared his positive impressions of GRFS’s remarkable progress over the past year and provided valuable insights into how governmental funding works for nonprofit organizations. He assured us of his support in parliament to help move our grant applications forward, which was incredibly encouraging for our upcoming initiatives.

The visit wouldn’t have been complete without a taste of our traditional Turkish breakfast, which MP Morrice thoroughly enjoyed! It was such a warm and uplifting gathering, fostering great connections and inspiring hope for even greater things to come.

We’re grateful for this visit and look forward to collaborating further to make a positive impact in our community!
