Our Summer School students had the joy of welcoming over 50 guests from ACAWRA for a day full of fun, laughter, and learning. From creative classroom activities to outdoor games, the day fostered new friendships, intercultural understanding, and mutual respect.

Programs like this are more than just summer fun — they help reduce social isolation, build resilience, and empower youth to thrive. These positive experiences are crucial in nurturing healthy mental development and reducing long-term risk factors related to youth violence and exclusion.

Running from July 2 to August 7, Monday through Thursday, this 6-week program is held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School in Kitchener. Students from JK to Grade 6 will enjoy a dynamic schedule filled with sports, robotics, music, art, Turkish language, and values-based education. Plus, every week brings something new with festivals and hands-on activities to keep the energy high and the learning fun.

As always at GRFS, we believe love is a verb—and we show that love by creating programs that uplift, educate, and empower our youth. Through every song sung, project completed, and friendship made, our Summer School becomes a place where hearts grow alongside minds.
