The Anatolian Food Festival is wrapping up with joy and heartfelt moments!
We are so grateful to have welcomed MPP Aislinn Clancy, Deputy Leader of the Ontario Greens and representative for Kitchener Centre, on our final day.
Her visit meant so much to our community! The final day of the festival was filled with connection and community spirit.

At GRFS, we believe that love is best expressed through action — and today, it was felt in every welcome, every shared story, and every moment of togetherness. Love is a Verb.

GRFS Representatives Visit MP Aislinn Clancy

Yesterday, representatives from the Grand River Friendship Society (GRFS) paid a friendly visit to Aislinn Clancy at her Kitchener Campaign office.

GRFS Finance Committee Member Orhan Keskin, Executive Director Cumali Şahin, and Public Relations Director Berat Berberoğlu met with Ms. Clancy as a follow-up to a previous gathering. During the visit, they had a warm conversation and wished her success in her ongoing campaign.

The meeting took place in a friendly and positive atmosphere, concluding with mutual good wishes. ?

GRFS Food Festival Update #2: A Warm Visit from Aislinn Clancy

We were thrilled to welcome Aislinn Clancy, former MPP for Kitchener Centre, and current MPP Candidate for the upcoming elections, to our GRFS Food Festival today at the Baden Campus! Aislinn took the time to connect with our community, enjoy the flavors of authentic Turkish cuisine, and show her support for the meaningful work being done at GRFS.

From savory sarma to sweet baklava, Aislinn, along with other guests, experienced firsthand the warmth, hospitality, and cultural richness our community embodies. Her visit highlighted the importance of fostering local connections and embracing the diversity that makes the Waterloo Region thrive.

Despite the snowy weather, today was filled with smiles, meaningful conversations, and the shared belief that food can bring us all together.

Because love is a verb, we are grateful for community leaders like Aislinn who support initiatives that strengthen the bonds between neighbors.
