Programs

At Grand River Friendship Society (GRFS), we believe strong communities are built through connection, compassion, and action.
Through our Community Initiatives, we create programs, activities, and events that bring people together, support those in need, and celebrate the diversity of our region.

From helping seniors feel connected, to supporting newcomers, to empowering youth and families, every initiative is designed with care to make a real difference.
Together, we are building a community that is more united, more inclusive, and full of opportunity for everyone.

Join us as we grow, learn, and make our community stronger — one project at a time.

CARES

At Grand River Friendship Society, we started a project called CARES to help seniors in Kitchener-Waterloo.
It helps them feel less lonely, stay healthy, and stay active in the community.

We do this through fun events, learning workshops, and volunteer work.
We make sure to include seniors who need more help, like those from poor or faraway places.

CARES brings people together and makes seniors feel important and loved.
